Buying Tires in the US

My wife has a 2000 Honda CRV and needs new all season tires. Being based in Toronto, it is a short drive to go across the border and do some shopping and come back with new tires. Are tires cheaper in the US? If so, is there a store in the Niagara/Buffalo region that you would recommend?
