Does anyone know if they are available yet or know any more detail regarding the price of options packages?
Nissan.ca suggests they are still in 'pre-sale' mode, however, I've been reading a Nissan forum where American customers are just beginning to take delivery.
Anyone with any early impressions?

I don't see it on their site but I did see it being advertised in the local newspaper I think it is at $ 27 K or something.....looks like a Hydundai Tucson...

Strange car names they're coming up with these days.

At the border coming back into Canada on Friday, I was behind one of them. Had a NY state temp permit in the window, so I'm guessing it was a Canadian importing it into Canada.

I checked out the website, configured a full loaded with leather turns out to be about $ 580 a month lease at MSRP, although I have never driven one but by the specs of it , it seems like a great deal I might have bought this over the B200 turbo..

I test drove one with my husband. It feels like an underpowered Nissan Murano. Inside is similar to a Murano but feels cheaper. When you hit the gas it feels weak. I wasn't impressed.

Looked into this model but disappointed by several problems:
Drivers have complained about the limited rear visibility.
Some options like fog lights are only available on the more expensive trim level.
Dealers have started asking for pricing above the MSRP and financing is above 6%!
Definitely wait a year for Nissan to remedy these problems.

My parents are finally selling their '06 Toyota Corolla CE (told them not get it) for '09 Nissan Rogue.
Any reviews or care to share deals/pricing. Thanks.

You haven't seen any?
Strange, here in Calgary I've seen quite a few, all colours and trim levels, they seem to be popular.

Where do you live? In Toronto they're nearly as common as the X-trail already.

I was looking at them and test drove one about 3 weeks ago. Sales Rep said they had a couple on the back lot for immediate delivery.
For a 4 cylinder - it wasn't bad. It is a smaller/cheaper version of the Murano.
Turned out it was my second choice. Mitsubishi Outlander was the first.

For those that own one, how does it feel? I think of it as a cheaper yet uglier version of the murano

I got one of these. I was skeptical at first but so far so good. It's got pretty good mileage for a small SUV. I think i get about 9.9L/100Km mixed driving. Ride is smooth and the paddle shifters are fun to use.
I was looking at the CR-V and RAV4 while I was looking for a car but decided on the Rogue. I chose this over the CR-V b/c the CR-V interior looks kinda cheap with the fold up centre console and stiff ride and chose this over the RAV4 due to the price.
I'd recommend this to a growing family looking for a slightly larger vehicle but not a minivan.

I'm surprised to hear this because the new CRV's interior and stiffer ride made it a standout among its competitors IMHO. I do like the Rogue CVT though and if you are averaging 10L/100km in winter, you are doing quite well.

I thought the flip down console in the CR-V would actually be quite handy for a family as it would allow quick and easy access to the rear seats should the need arise.
Also note that the EX-L model has a fixed centre console which looks much, much better.
I really want to like the Rogue, but I just can't get past it's looks. It's very odd looking, like something isn't quite right, but I can't figure out what it is.

They plugged that car (and the Versa) so hard in Heroes last season, I just can't stand to look at either. Stylistically, I think Nissan really lost it's way since they redesigned the Sentra and the Altima. I much preferred the earlier cleaner look, especially the late 90's Maximas.

Our family is currently looking into a small SUV as well. We have our sights set on the CR-V, but awaiting to test-drive the new VW Tiguan this spring/summer until we make the plunge. Rogue was considered but just can't get past the ghastly grill:

Not saying the CR-V is a beauty queen either, but relatively speaking, CR-V > Rogue
Plus, someone mentioned the CR-V looked cheap inside, which I disagree. After sitting in both, the CR-V is definitely more clean looking and the layout of the buttons is more user-friendly. In the Rogue, the orange dial in-between the gauges in the centre is VERY small plus has way too much info in it, making it not very ledgible. The CR-V in comparison is larger and easier to read. You decide for yourself:

I agree that the CR-V looks nicer on the outside, but the interiors is a different beast. I couldn't get past the fold up centre console. It seemed very flimsy and I wouldn't trust putting any beverages on it. Also, you can't even use it as an armrest if you are going to be travelling long distances.
The Rogue at least has a large glove compartment, in addition to the sturdy centre console that provides additional storage space for CDs and such.
I guess to each their own. I prefer a better interior than exterior as I won't be watching my car drive down the road anyways.

My father just purchased one 3 weeks ago. At first I was a bit skeptical, but after driving it a bit, it's actually quite a smooth ride. I haven't been in the new CR-V, but have been in the Rav4, and it's smoother than the Rav4.
But you're right, the grille is just nasty.

I test drove this car, it's got a nice interior but the rear visibility is quite poor. I am not used to the CVT but according to its specs, it is quite fuel efficient. But most importly, unless there's some dealer incentive I am not aware of, a fully loaded Rogue (with leather & premium package) is priced more expensive than the RAV4 V6 Ltd and the new 2009 Subaru Forester Ltd (non turbo version).

i think it is a unique looking suv...not my cup of tea, but some of my friends loves it.
For you guys who is looking at the small SUV sector, have you consider the Mitsubishi Outlander? Seems like everyone checked out the CR-V and the RAV, some looked at Forester. Outlander seems like a pretty good ride too.

The folding centre console is only on the base models. If you get the higher model there is a rather nice fixed centre console with plenty of storage space. I'll agree with the other poster above who mentioned that the interior of the CR-V is much nicer than that of the Rogue's. The Rogue uses what looks and feels like very cheap plastics, while the CR-V uses higer quality plastics. They feel nicer to the tough and look more upscale (if that's even possible for plastic).
