I woke up with a pretty bad cough today (it's been getting worse and worse throughout the week), and at work decided to go buy some cough syrup. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart (Rideau Centre in Ottawa), and saw that Benelyn was the cheapest cough syrup they had (a few $ cheaper than Life brand).
The 100mL Benelyn extra strength cough syrup (most if not all of them, I remember DM, DM+E, DM+E+D) bottles are on sale for $3.49 each.
So for each bottle, it's $3.49 + tax = $3.98
To add to that, in the box I got there is a mail in rebate for $3 when you buy two of the bottles. So for two the deal is:
$3.49 x 2 + tax = $7.96 - mail in rebate of $3 = $4.96 (plus cost of a stamp)
You also get optimum points too!
I don't know how long the sale is until, I don't remember, but the rebate is good til Nov 30, 2012 (quite a long time from now, even past the date of expiry for the cough syrup which was Oct 2008 ).
