Thanks to the marketing guys at FS for making ambiguous ads for the Canon laser printer! Not everyone who reads page 15 thinks that the MF3240 requires buying a computer.

Note that this is a big YMMV, however, I was able to PM the Canon MF3240 printer at Staples for $90 and taxes. I asked the sales associate if they had stock of the Canon MF3240 and showed him the Future Shop flyer. He took a look and made a statement about how much cheaper it was at FS. He tells me that they can PM the price if I wanted to buy from them. So, I ask him to get me one and I go to pay at the cash. The MOD took over and all he did was take the FS flyer and tore off the page showing the Canon printer. He scans in the printer and hits the 110% key to process the FS price and voila, less than $105 taxes in.

I guess that I lucked out because they didn't log into the FS website to see that the price was $200 and they read the ad like how most people might have seen it and not see the requirement of buying it with a computer. If you look at their ad, it might appear that the inkjet on the left has the computer purchase requirement, but not the laser so YMMV.

Great printer for $90. Just remember, YMMV and no fussing if you can't PM it.

I was able to get that printer for $69.99 + tax at Best Buy when they had the Back-to-School coupons... tried to apply the coupon code online without purchasing a desktop/notebook and the order was confirmed. Picked it up at the store and the guy ringing it in was stunned to see that price :cheesygri
