TSCC: Rogers HD digital cable receiver $150 ($199 - $50 credit)

Just saw on their latest flyer (Sept 24- Oct 7) that the Rogers HD cable receiver is on sale for $150 (pay $199, get $50 subscription credit - see very fine print on bottom of add).

If I'm already a Rogers digital cable subscriber, how does the "credit" thing work? Do I need to order additional channels to use that credit?

Yes, you need to subscribe $10 more programming in order to get the $10 monthly credit for 5 months. Last time I cancelled my ethnic channel during my vacation and then call back in to re-subscribe it and activate the HD box at the same time.

Good price if it was just a straight discount. But anyone looking for Rogers cable boxes are likely already Rogers subscribers, so getting that $50 credit might be a YMMV.
