I'm looking for phone service through either the usual analog phone lines, or through cable (on Rogers in Kitchener, presently). The obvious answers are Bell Canada and Rogers. :) However, with all the deregulation, maybe there's someone else offering service that charges less? My present issue is that Rogers is $29.99 a month, and Bell is $27 a month with the one feature I need (Call Display).

Figured I'd ask... :-) Thanks for any help you can give!

Yes, I know there's VoIP service, or Cell Phone service. VoIP is no good because I'm too much of an internet abuser, and Cell Phones aren't good because I want unlimited local usage for less than what Bell does their home service for. VoIP would be okay *if* it were somehow less than the above prices and included Dry DSL service for the VoIP line (so unlikely it's barely worth mentioning).

I'm taking from the lack of replies, Bell and Rogers are the only options? *sigh* Oh well... I guess it's VoIP or bust. :-(

Thanks anyways for those that looked!

well im in the K/w area too. Unsure what your looking for because you initially were talking about phone service, but then i think i saw internet? mayb my eyes are fooling me though.

Rogers has a special going on where you pay 10$ a month (plus all those fees) comes up to 18$ a month and if you were to add call display, im not sure how much more they would charge, but i can also get you a 30$ credit on your account.

let me know.
