free up man... someone can probably drop a tranny in there for a grand and have a running prelude for 4k... not too shabby

if only it were that easy...... the tiptronics are real hard to rebuild even Honda can't do it properly. And converting it to manual will cost quite alot more than 1000.

I agree, they are hard to rebuild, almost not worth it. Hence why I said you can drop another trans in it.
It can be done for $1000. You just have to know where to look. Obviously that wouldn't be the price for a new transmission.

Also, now there no point, i had an engine and tranny which I just sold for 1400 together....
What I don't understand is, i made the post so long ago, and only recently you decided to realize that :confused:
