Hello all am looking for someone who fixes notebooks for a good price, have two that need repair and was wondering if they are worth the price to fix, so was kind of hoping for a free or at least cheap estimate, thanks for any help.

Could you describe the problems in a little more detail?

Buy a new notebook and stop dropping them.
Make sure to buy a Dell notebook with GOLD warranty, it covers accidental damage like that.
As for fixing you need to buy a screen for one and the motherboard for the other one. Probably about $1800 worth of parts if you buy them directly form the manufacturer, so that is why I'd buy new.
You can search ebay, but make sure the parts match.
They are very easy to swap, LCD maybe 10 minutes and 5 screws and motherboard, well.. you buy a laptop with broken LCD and put your LCD there.
In the end, you are better off going with a new laptop with GOLD warranty, not just the regular waranty you get.
We do fix Dell at work, but they are all covered by dell, I've asked a few times how much the replacement parts are and the cost is stupid high, so stupid it is not even funny.

Once it comes to replacing a cracked screen or a bad motherboard you may as well get a new system.
As Vasy said the parts are fairly easy to replace... if you are careful. the challenge lays in identifying the exact part(s) that you will need. And thats made a lot easier if you have a warehouse full of spare parts to test with.
If you do find a good price on the same laptop with a bad screen but good mobo its a easy switch. Just weigh the cost as compared to that new dell lol

no getting the lcd replacement is only like $200 for the parts, imagine his notebook was $2k back then...
we had ppl asking for them as well, we just replaced an acer book recently, book was $2.5k, but the screen is $200 directly from them
