1. It encourages people to offload their workload instead of learning things.
2. If people do get reliable homework here, offtopic would be flooded with homework threads.

Its because kids come in here with a sense of entitlement.
They dont bother making ANY effort to do their own homework...
Help threads are okay.... Eg. Posting a essay for editing...
or doing a math question and asking people to correct it...
or posting research articles and asking peoples opinions on the quality of the source...
But no1 does this. Most people come in here and pretty much ask the forum members to do the work for them....
The sad thing is that many people ask things that can easily be found on google like "What did the hudson bay company do...".
Look up Farooq as an example.

Very true... in real life I have no problems helping friends / siblings if they can show me they made a real attempt to solve the problem. But if they cannot show they made the effort, there's no benefit to anyone in helping them.

+1
Most homework questions can be solved with a little research on the internet. People who post homework questions here want to be spoon fed the answers.

LOL...cute
I completely agree with what Jucius Maximus said.
You won't learn a thing and certainly don't deserve the grade if someone else does the work for you. Hard work will pay off.
