I'm looking for ideas for places to advertise an online store of mine. It's a clothing shop and I only have 2 labels so far (Obey Clothing and Lifetime Collective). Trying to gather a list of places to advertise. I have google ads out there and I've been posting on facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and Kijiji. But now I'm thinking i might have to spend a bit more money on ads (banners) and have it a bit more targeted to my audience. I'm probably going to get something up on viceland.com and maybe NOW too. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Google all your online competitors. See where they have been doing their online advertising.
Also get your name in the online business directories; many are free.

You can see everyone who links to your competitors by doing this search in Yahoo! (not google):
linkdomain:yourcompetitor.com -site:yourcompetitor.com
That should give you some ideas as well.

Thanks wheel.
I'll try out that "tech tip" myself.

Your on the right track posting to Craigslist and Kijiji for free traffic. Theres also Hoobly which I find delivers quite a few visitors. Try writing a lens on fashion at Squidoo. The clothng forums at ivillage.com would also be good for you too. Get the traffic first and your online store will do well
What I would suggest is that you dont emphasize online sales so much and try to appeal to those who information about fashion and trends as well. Some pages aimed at helping people put together their wardrobe might turn out to be great money makers for you.
The key is the that people come to the internet looking for information , more than they do to buy, so try to appeal to that group of people too and get a second income stream by monetizing those pages with adsense
You have to get the traffic first though !

Interesting read on niche content here (http://www.workz.com/content/view_content.html?section_id=482&content_id=6984).

This is my next plan of attack for my business. I just downloaded wordpress and plan on starting a blog on fashion, music, and art. I've heard many times that "content is king".
