View Full Version : How come there are no business/banking accounts geared towards accountants?

I have been searching around a business bank account, just for the hell of it. I am still in studying accounting at school, but figure that when i graduate and complete all my certifications I would like to strike out on my own. But, looking at it, it seems as if there are no business accounts for accountants. I see accounts for "professionals," but none specifically for accountants. Am I missing something here? Are the banking needs of accountants not so demanding that they can make due with regular business accounts?

You puts the money in, you takes the money out. Not sure why an accountant would have higher business banking needs than I do or any other professional/small business. In fact given the international nature of what I do it's likely that I've got more banking demands than most accountants, and I make do just fine.
Also, there is absolutely 0 competition amongst the banks in Canada. They'll carry on that there is competition and differences, but effectively, there is no competition. Thus, no need to attract and retain new accounts or try new stuff.
