Okay, my friend has a nokia 5300 for sale and im looking to purchase it.
but hes currently using it with rogers.
if i get it unlocked can i use it with telus?
does telus have sim cards?
do i even need a sim card?
im trying to get my current plan and number onto his phone.

no there is no way to use the phone.
telus doens't use sim cards

yeah thats what i thought, sucks for me i guess
my telus plan is to good and i doubt rogers will match or even have anything similar >:(

This is why I keep saying on these forums. There is only one cellular provider in Canada.
Unfortunately, it is Rogers / Fido and you have to pay whatever they ask. Because the other networks are using a system that is crap. Especially if you need a new phone.
You will be surprised what Rogers can offer. List your Telus plan and I am sure there is a similar Rogers plan

You can get ur Telis number onto that phone but it requires you to go into a rogers store, activate a NEW plan, you may not get the same plan u had on telis, but you can surely port ur number in, then you pop in yr rogers sim into the phone and away u go. your telis line will b cancelld
