Now the question is, what's a better deal, for optimum card points collectors, this $20 vouchers for $75 purchase, or getting 20times points with a min. $50 purchase on Sept.8?

$50 @ 20x points = 10,000 points
On bonus redemption days, 75,000 = $200, so 10,000 would be worth $26.67 if you were able to collect 75,000. On normal redemption days, 75,000 = $150 so 10,000 would be worth $20.
Also, it's unlikely you'll spend exactly $75 to get $20, so that would be worth slightly less.

You are right. But you can use the gift vouchers towards any payment, including tax. But if you redeem points towards your purchase, you have to pay tax out of your pocket.
But the gift vouchers carry an expiry date, I believe early October, while the 20x points never expire.

What if we use our points for the purchase? Would we still get the gift certificate? Thanks.

Hey guys, do you know if this has to be for one single purchase? Over the weekend I've bought over 70 bucks worth of stuff from one SDM. Do you think they'll still give me the vouchers?
In the fine print, it doesn't say that it has to be one transaction. I just wanna know your opinion.
