Remote staff monitoring and management software...

I might be taking over a part of the company that I am currently working for, and I am looking for a way to monitor and manage staff that is located on other continents and who are not always monitored by their manager.

Can anyone recommend ways of doing this?

I am also looking for pre-made staff evaluation forms, maybe online...
