Came across this elsewhere, the guy seems to have done a great job, not sure about the colour choice though

Looks pretty good. I like the in the wall shelves.

I wonder how long it took this person to do this?

I like the sheves meself, it comes in handy if you are doing a movie theatre and want somewhere to store the audio/visual gear.

With the shower placement, looks like the pipes could possibly freeze in the winter.

glaswegian are you going to make your basement? If so, how big is your basement and how much were you looking to spend.

I am thinking of making my basement but don't know what the price range should be.

Don't have a figure in mind yet, but most of it will be going on the audio/visual, berber carpet, and sound proofing. I already have cat 5e drops in there, HD antenna drop, satellite tv drops

I plan to do most of the work with friends and family members, and I have got to have my snooker table as well :D

Looks like a pretty clean job there. Nothing too too special. The kitchenette, fireplace, and bathroom are all good to have. The most interesting part of the basement to me were the rounded corners. Never seen anyone do that before. Anyone know how it's done?

That is the key, K.I.S.S ( keep it simple stupid ), not that am calling you stupid :D Your house is only worth what the market says it's worth, so there is no point going all out if you ain't going to get the money back.

We have a 3 piece rough-in that I plan to use for a shower, toilet and sink, we will then close in all the utility stuff which are in the same place thank God

I can't seen an entrance to the basement from the outside. Maybe it's where the stairs start.

I wonder if he had permits when building this. I don't think you can have a kitchen in the basement (stove) without a separate entrance.

What's with that window in the bedroom? It looks really odd as it's kind of in the middle of the wall, height wise.

Capt, there is a cornerbead product that is availble to achieve the rounded over corners.

There are plastic cornerbeads that are rounded and are starting to become very popular. They especially look good around ceiling boxes!!!

Yes indeed...we have rounded corners throughout the house:D We got the builder to include it standard when we bought the house...otherwise they are an upgrade!

I used them in my basement 5 years or more ago. Mine were paper-over-metal and installed like any paper covered corner bead (ie no nails).

Really helps when you have a doorway followed by a short piece of wall opening into a room, the rounded corner makes the wall disappear as your eye tracks into the room.
