I have been googling about a second power supply and im finding very little information. Are there any video cards that have there own power suppy cable so they dont need to use the main one? if not can someone recomend me a video card for my pc which has 300 watts total with amd 4000, vista, 160 hard drive, dvd writer, and 1.5 g ram.

A 2nd power supply - even if you could rig it up to work (to power on the same time as the rest of your system), you'd still need to find room for it inside your case. It's certainly doable though... each individual component doesn't care where it gets its power from.

Fortron makes a 300W Booster than you can connect to AC via PCI slot and installs in a 5.25" bay. It's like $100 though... so it's probably more economical to just upgrade your current power supply.

Don't be ghetto - just get a good power supply.
