male:female student ratios

I was told this week that one Ontario University's student ratio is 1:7 for male:female. What are the gender ratios for various Canadian College & Universities? Is this information often true?

You don't really need to be concerned with the entire university's male:female ratio, moreso just focus on your faculty and your classes. If you're in Engineering or Math then it doesn't matter how many girls go to your university, because you won't be seeing many, However,if you're in the social sciences at McMaster for example, the ratio is about 1:9 for males to females in some classes :cool:

Probably 3-1 girls to guys at York ....and its pretty consistent with all the faculties and programs except for Schulich which is probably 1-1.

Holy crap, really? I'm a 3rd year UVic student. I'll have to see some source-age here. I don't really believe that... but then again I am in engineering where the ratio is probably about 35:1.

To put it plainly, I don't date engineering girls. With women, quantity tends to imply a higher likelihood of quality.

It makes sense...UVic has tons of arts programs, it's not really big into science and engineering (like Waterloo, for example which is a sausage fest). Yeah honestly when I go to a party and it's roughly a 1:1 ratio, I'm amazed. I'm pretty involved with faculty activities so I guess that only makes sense... But like I said I meet girls on non-engineering related stuff. Engineering stuff is for going out and just having a bloody wickedly ridiculous time out with the friends.
