I want to switch to a VOIP phone service and get rid of my landline phone by Bell. I'm currently with a thirdparty DSL company but thinking of going with Bell Sympatico dry dsl and see if I can get a deal on it.
So should I sign up for the VOIP service first, and then talk with Bell about Sympatico and cancel my landline service?
How hard is it to port your number back from a VOIP company?
The whole thing behind this is that I want to keep the same phone number.
