filtering sites through router

Recently my boss asked me to block any sites I deem unwork friendly.
I have a dlink router of some sort, and the only way to block off a site is through the keyword part of it. Is that the best approach? Blocking the domain doesnt seem to work with all sites, ie facebook still manages to go through, but blocking it by keyword facebook.com eliminates it from loading.

Also is there a list somewhere out there that anyone knows of that would be work unfriendly? so far sites like myspace/facebook/hotmail etc are being blocked.

make it easy on yourself, block every subnet range outside of your intranet..problem solved :D
