mmmmmmm Good Stuff... Love the Banh Mi Viet Nam. They were already way cheaper than Subway or Quiznos or whatever, so this is just a slick bonus.

Yummers! Thanks!

. Thanks for the tip.

The only places I've had these are from the three stores on the west side of Spadina north of Dundas. Their prices were $1 until about a year ago. Now $1.50, I think. I've also seen them in T&T with a label from one of these Spadina places. The ones on Spadina were better because they could make them for you when you ordered them (but they often have a stockpile).

Of course those places are not restaurants -- no tables. Is the Original Banh Mi Factory a restaurant?

I'd have guessed that the downtown ones are for U of T students and the North York ones are for York students but I've not noticed much student traffic at the downtown ones.

Yes it's a fairly new, big restaurant - very nice environment.
They also have a few computers set up for free internet access.

The restaurant is Fast Food style restaurant like MC Donald...all the bows and chopstick is one time use only...
i was very impress with the store......would definitely try the food next time
.....
even tho never try the food but i know all the breads are fresh made....they have all the machines to bake it right in store....

Just ask them to not put it in or take it out - there's just usually one or two strands of them.

Seeing that you have relatives in Vietnam made me think that you know your Vietnamese, but then I saw that you are a guy. So you just essentially said that you are a woman and you love a man. em = woman, anh = man.

Anyways, Banh Mi Factory is very westernized. The food there is not very authentic and not very good by Vietnamese standards.

Actually

em = is used for a "younger person" (man or woman)
anh = is used for an "older man"

so trixstar is just referring to himself as younger...

But you wouldn't say "yeu" in that context, since it is generally used as the act of being in love with the opposite sex. It would be more correct to say "thuong". For example, I "thuong" my parents, I don't "yeu" them.

Been there, done that. Verdict? Definitely not going there again, even if their pho is $2.50. It's just not worth it IMO. It's not good.

Some of the subs are $4 reg price and with 50% off, it comes down to $2. I can get it for that price, elsewhere, better tasting too.

Went there today...The Large Beef Pho was OK, but not the best compared to many other restaurants...Also bought some subs but did not get to try them yet...

It is good deal at $2.50 + taxes, and I don't have to pay any tips since it is a "fast-food" restaurant :cheesygri... However, I wouldn't pay the full price for it though...

Its fast food...not a restaurant...so obivusly the quality and taste of the pho at banh mi wont be the same as dining in at a restaurant :P

agreed

for 2.50 the amount of meet and noodles that were given were fair in my opinion.
when i went,,LOTS of ppl, considering its a fast food restaurant, the place was nice...tvs..
wouldnt go again if it was 5 tho...

First time trying it tonight. Long line-up, long wait after order. And they even screwed up my order, but at least the servers were nice and good looking :P

As for the pho, it's the worst I've ever had. The meat was over cooked (possibly because the bowl was sitting there for a while when they were trying to figure out my order). The noodles were still stuck together and the soup was nothing special at all. I also ordered some subs but have yet to try them.

I would go there again for the half price, but there are lots of places with better Viet food charging similar to their regular price.

been there a few times but only tried the food yesterday....
the sub and the Pho is okie for the price
it was really crowded and a line up but after taking an order...i got my food really fast after that..
Satay beef noodle seem pretty good for me

will not come back for the Pho regular price but for the Sub...yes..
can't beat the price of Viet sub even if it's regular...

but if i want Pho i will go somewhere else

viet subs there are quite expensive...even reg. price and it aint that great.
only the cold cut banh mi is worth it...comes to $1.03 tax inc. with the 50% off keep in mind ;)

Yeah i agree...service there is slow....long-line ups and there are like only 3 workers that make the pho and 2 workers that make the banh mi subs....they should get more ppl making the pho in order to make the waiting alot faster.

Heck i waited for 15 mins for friggen pho ga...and it shouldn't take that long. Max it should take is like 2 mins

and yeah cashier named kerry is cute

*EDIT*

I forgot...long line-ups are because Viet parents can't decide what they wanna order or they ask alot of questions...lol
