$289 at Infonec. Though I'd probably pay the extra $10 to buy at Future Shop just to have the return policy of a big company. I'd wait till FS or BB goes back on full price and PM then.

wait for Dell days and hope for the $249 price again...

$300 seems to be the recurring sale price at FS/BB. nothing new

Not a price to brag about... thats >100 + tax which is a regular SALES price at both BB/FS. I got 2 sets at 49.99 (after 50MIR) last December... thats the price you can brag about since its the lowest price the z2300 have ever been (to my knowledge for new sets at least... besides that i remember seeing 89 @ dell a couple of times).

z2300 also cant be compared to the z5500. Digital signal, multiple device hookup (including PS3), etc make z5500 the best set cheap multi-purpose speakers.

How long have we've been waiting since the last time it was $250?

sorry i just wanted to brag about my deal. and you squashed it. are you happy now?

5 speakers is ******** for a computer setup. plus its too expensive. so if ur a student like me who goes from pay check to pay check during his summer vacation, save your cash and buy the z2300.

dont need all the fancy junk u listed since i am not stupid enough to buy a ps3. lmao.

oh ya, and why are u telling me about a deal u got in december which was months ago. should i go back in time and try to pm... anyone got a hot deal on a time machine that doesnt exist.

hahahahahhahahahhahahhahahah.

!!
I'm a student (with no money, of course!), but i picked up the z5300 for $125 earlier this year and they are amazing. I actually enjoy the 5.1 setup for games that use EAX and for movies when I'm sitting away from the computer. Some of the logitech 2 speaker system still produce excellent sound, especially for people with limited space but i guess it depends on your preference.

I agree with others on the price, 300 seems to be the regular price.

You're being an ass.

He was obviously just telling people the price you can get the z-2300 for comparison.

Go easy on the guy, he put a smile face after his post :D

5 speakers is in no way "********" for a computer setup, especially if you use it a lot for gaming and movies. Once you go 5.1, it's difficult to go back.

Although it is sometimes difficult to find the proper space and layout for a 5.1. If you can't set it up properly, there's not much point in having it at all.

agrevated into becoming a douche. just a touch though. 5 speakers is sick for a computer for video games and dvds, even the many mp3's. and ps3 is sick,

IINM, that was a price error....

not really a fair comparison since price errors are often the hottest of deals ;)

cheapest price i recall seeing at FS/BB was $100.

Dell $89? hm... i certainly don't recall that.

Just because you can't afford something doesn't mean it's ********. Positional sound is incredible, even for regular music having the sound surround you is fantastic.

Agreed. It's not "********"; it depends on what you do on the computer and personal preference.

Oh, but seriously, can we go back on topic with the 5500's and stop fighting? When is the next expected timeframe for a Dell deals?

Once every couple months. But apparently the Z-5500s have gone on sale at $249 only once, back in Sept 2006. Has not been seen since.
