Question about Credit history

I have got some 4 credit cards (including the hbc credit card) and I am planning to get rid of 2 of them or even 3 and apply for a TD visa GOLD. Will this affect my credit history in anyway if I cancel 3 at the same time??

Keep just the one(s) you've had the longest because you've had the longest history with them. Cancel the HBC card.

Check with TD first to see if it's even required. If you're an existing customer with them you might be pre-approved anyway.
