You pick a team then PM trade offers to the other teams GM's. After a 2-3 week offseason the rosters everyone has traded for are put into the game on one of the admins computers and the season is simulated. Then the next offseason period begins.

It's basic but it's fun and helps to pass the time while we wait for the NHL to start up again

I've played in something like this before but instead of simulating the games, we play 58 games a season head to head online. It was fun in the first season, but it got boring when people started exploiting.
