I'm looking to replace my bedroom furniture. My bedroom furniture is pretty old, about 15 years old. Its not the greatest furniture, for being custom made by Archezei (not sure if its spelled right). They are practically falling apart. It's like the whole furniture set. However where my problem lies is the size of my room. Length is 13 feet 7 inches. Width is 9 feet 2 inches. Closet is 2 feet in width and 5 foot 6 inches in length. My current furniture includes: Queen Size bed (however it feels like a double), 2 night stands, chest and the dresser with the mirror. I also have a TV stand that is too small for anything (it fits the TV, XBOX, DVD player and VCR on top of the TV, and the games and movies) and a computer desk inside my closet. So I'm looking for some input on what kind of furniture to buy but being on the inexpensive side. I would like to get the computer out of the closest and use the closet for it real purpose as well as have a bit of a bigger TV stand something along the lines of at entertainment center. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Stupid question. Get a twin sized ikea bed, get rid of your night stands, and an lcd for the wall.

You're trying to put too much into a small room. Wtf do you need an xbox and tv for in the bedroom, put it in all the living room or get a bigger house.

First of all how is this a stupid question? You have people in these forums asking where to buy paint and other things.
The house does not have a proper family room or living room/dining room. They are both used. The kitchen breakfast area is used as a dining room and the family room is used for both a family room and living room. So I like to keep the family room/living room clean. Thats why the XBOX is in my room as well as many other reasons.
I got a perfectly good tube TV in my room, its only about 6-7 months old. So I don't want to spend the money on a LCD TV. I don't want to replace the bed to a twin, the queen already feel like a twin and I wouldn't be too surprised if it is a twin.
Ikea doesn't really have anything to my liking. I've check the catalog and some of it is ridiculously over priced for stuff you have to assemble.

Open your yellow pages, flip to the F's. There should be a section for Furniture. There are tons in Toronto.

However, if you think Ikea is ridiculously over priced, I suggest you try Value Village or the Salvation Army, perhaps the dumpster behind your house might have something in you price range.

:eek::lol:

...or you can try used stuff on Kijiji, if you're on a budget...http://toronto.kijiji.ca/f-buy-and-sell-furniture-W0QQisSearchFormZtrueQQAdTypeZ2QQKeywordZbedroomQ2 0QQCatIdZ20

I think Ikea is over priced for the type of product they sell. Also its not realistic for me. I don't want to spend like $350.00+ for a TV stand at Ikea. If I were to pay that money I would like it to be assembled.
If I am going to have to spend over $1,000 at Ikea I might as well go to Archezi 's warehouse where they make their furniture talk to the guy my family knows and then get them to make everything I want custom made and drop $1,000+ in ca$h to them and save tax.

If space is at a premium, get yourself an LCD TV and wall mount it.

Looks like you have your own answer. Why would you buy a new crt tv 6 months ago if you knew space was an issue?
