Don't know if other Canadian Tires are carrying this but I found this great find by accident. The kit is listed for use with Picture in Picture Hookups but who cares! For $2.99 you get all this: one 1.5ft coax cable with gold plated connectors and one end @90 degrees, one 6 ft coax cable with gold plated connectors one end @90 degrees, one 6ft video/audio cable, one 2 way splitter. The cables are heavy duty. There were at least 20 boxes left as of 4:00 pm

Tried checking Heartland Miss. for this - nothing there. No such kits avail, at least none in stock. If you have a SKU, perhaps we could ask them to check store stock.

This deal is still available at the Canadian Tire on 50 Cootes Dr. in Dundas, ON (near McMaster University in Hamilton), I picked up a couple today for $2.99 ea., there were at least 10 left.
I found the contents differed slightly from what was listed on the back of the box. Here's what I got:
One 1.5' RG-59 coaxial cable (gold-plated connectors, NOT 90 degrees)
One 6' RG-59 coaxial cable (gold-plated connectors, NOT 90 degrees)
One 6' Audio/Visual cable set (3 separate cables with RCA plugs)
One 2-way splitter (gold connectors, 5-1000 MHz, -3.5 dB)
This is an OLD Canadian Tire Store (#27) but often seems to have outdated merchandise that is marked way down. I make a point of stopping in on my way to Hamilton from Waterloo and have found some great bargains.

People are buying it for the cables, not because of what the kit does. Each of the 4 items in the kit is worth at least $2.99, so even if you only need one of the items it is a good deal.
What it is for is splitting your cable signal so that picture in picture TVs have signal for two independant tuners... I have no idea why a guy designing a PIP TV wouldn't include this stuff inside the TV, but I guess they didn't do it that way...
I guess there is no chance of getting this in Downtown TO eh?

actually... my tv has 2 coax inputs... however I can still do PIP if only one of them is plugged in... so that's what I'm doin' :-)

I guess there is no chance of getting this in Downtown TO eh? Exactly, these are good quality cables with the connectors nicely labelled. Very handy to have around and great to give to give to friends who need to connect a low-cost VCR or other equipment.
Monster Cable sells a similar kit for $49.99 US.

 I am guessing that this is only available in the Dundas, ON store and maybe a couple of others. I talked to a friend who is a manager at a CT store and he says that CTC will offer dealers the chance to bid on warehouse stock that is no longer going to be sold.
