This sounds like a very good deal, better than active green & ross deal awhile back, anyone have experience with them?

I already answered this in the Request a deal.
Its a great deal.
Don't expect a luxurious service lounge with capuccino and plasma tv's.
this is a budget price for budget service.
Its a great way for small garages to bring in new customers.
I find the service much more personal than at Canadian Tire or dealerships.

How can they possibly make money? $9.99 wouldn't cover the material costs. Unless they do it purely to advertise.

It is purely advertising. Its a loss leader.
Its gets your car on the hoist, and maybe they find other things wrong.
Or maybe you just get to know a local mechanic and you like dealing with them.
The best service in the world, will always be at a local small business.

Call to ask.
Its $30 /oil change more for my Jetta TDi, but I still save 50% off dealership
or Jiffy Lube places.

If they find stuff thats wrong, you don't have to fix it.
Unless its a safety issue. If you refuse to fix a safety item,
well, you're not doing yourself any favours.

I previously bought one of there prepaid oil change deals for my vans and it was great but this seems to be a better deal because you don't have to put up all the money up front. I ordered a few more the other day.
