Anyone out there have a credit report from Equifax and has an Amex? I'm curious to know if it reports to Equifax on a monthly basis as I'm looking at the free report I got in May which only lists my TD Visa as "last reported on 05/07", but not my corporate Amex.
I find it weird that it doesn't mention it. At the time it was about 10 months old, but regardless there should be something.

AmEx absolutely reports to Equifax monthly. I noticed you mentioned that you have a corporate account - do you receive the bills for this account or does your company? If it's your company then it is based on their credit and reported accordingly, not to your history.
When I had a corporate AmEx years ago, I am pretty certain that it never showed up on my personal report as I wasn't the one who had applied for it, the company I worked for had. I was simply a supplementary card holder.

You are correct, if your card is a business card it will not get reported on your credit report. It is filed under the credit report of the business.
This is true even if you own the company.

I applied for it, receive the bills and responsible for paying it off.
The reason I ask is because I have a credit inquiry from Amex at the time I signed up, but no credit history regarding it on my account.
I didn't notice until today because I was trying to swith a Rogers wireless account to my name from a friend. I only provided them my name and license, and they pulled up a file on me that said I had "insufficient credit history" and they would charge me a fee to start up my account. I've been building it long before then (at least a CC since 2001) so this didn't seem right.
Confusing story short, my credit history is under my "legal" name. When I first signed up for the Amex they had trouble finding my credit history because I gave them the name I use frequently instead. After some help on my part, they found my file, as noted from the credit check on my Equifax history. Since I don't have the credit history for my monthly payments on Amex on this file, so I'm wondering if there is a second file out there floating around that has my commonly used name attached to it and my Amex monthly paying history.
My assumption is that Rogers found this file as I only provided them my address, commonly used name, and driver's license (which actually does not have my common name on it) and this is why I was told I had an "insufficient credit history". In essence, they did a hit on another file and not my real one...
Is this possible? How can I find out if this is the case? I surely would want to amalgamate both files if that was the case to clear up everything.

Yes this is definitely possible. I see folks everyday who have more than one file, typically for the same reason that you posted - multiple names.
Highly recommend you get in touch with Equifax ASAP!

So I called Equifax today, it turns out that Amex wasn't reporting my credit card history at all.
It also turns out that Rogers had created a new credit file for me when they did a check cause my name didn't match any other accounts. Which is why I had insufficent credit history... the file was empty! They've now merged the two files (aka I have a check from Rogers on my real account) and a search on both names will lead to the same file. I have to submit some paperwork to Equifax to finalize it.
Anyone know if Rogers will have to do a SECOND check on me now to confirm my new credit status? Or will the first one be updated accordingly? Of course, I'd prefer them not to have done a second one given they already hit it once.
