Soo, although I'm a fan of Homesense and go to stores in and around the GTA, usually in the west end, I find that more modern/contemporary pieces can be hard to find. For instance, we've been looking for paintings and assorted furniture and haven't had too much luck at homesense. Just not the right style and I think it probably gets scooped up really quick.
Well, last weekend DH and I stopped in Peterborough on the way to the cottage and went into Homesense.
Wow, can I say was I ever impressed. They had tons of modern/contemporary paintings in the $50. The furniture was great, we picked up a leather covered very contemporary looking filing cabinet and a number of organizing boxes in addition to a number of other more modern/contemporary pieces. I went to the cottage with a car filled with stuff for home :P
My hubby said that the Homesense/Winners in Kitchener and London also have great selection.
