I fail to understand why the fuk anyone is stupid enough celebrate by firing into the air.

With that said, congrats to the Iraqi team and I'm glad that the civilians finally have something to take their mind off the war even if its just a short while.

I'd love to see a soccer match between the Iraqis and the Americans. The Iranians defeated the US in World Cup '98 I believe, man that was quite a match, on and off the field.

you forget, these are some of the same people that "celebrated" when America was attacked, and they're almost the same people who protested violently in the name of the Prophet (I can't spell his name so I won't even try) by burning down buildings and things like that over a cartoon...

Saudis have won the Asian cup in recent years but were still shutout by the soccer team of a war-torn country (that is a neighbor!). They are probably so embarrassed that they are pissing themselves.
