...any websites that talk about ideas for creating a yard without any grass that would look good? I do know I want to have an area that will have a vegetable garden - most likely raised a bit and made of stone. I will have some trees (maybe a couple but not ones that get very large)...

Maybe a stone walkway going around the yard with some islands that have some shrubs in them and mulch or wood chips.... something like that.

Basically I despise grass. Death to grass.... any websites that might be helpful for me that you know of, please let me know :) I need ideas.

I'd be interested in something like that too, maybe some kind soul will guide us in the right direction.

Take a look at the pictures in the links at http://www.landscape-design-garden-plans.com/keith-davitt-portfolio.html They are all urban gardens and most have no grass at all.

If you are into any of them, there are plans and instructions for various aspects in another part of the site (just check the site map).

Be prepared for hostility from your neighbours - the grass cult is still dominant and very ornery.

We did this last year... I hate grass also...
We had it landscaped and got some other work done... I don't know anywhere that hosts picture other wise I'd post an image ( not looking to set up any accounts etc.)
