i do not recommend buying a bike from a general sports store like sportmart. the quality and safety of the bike are quite bad.

if you must spend only $200 to get a good bike, then dont buy a dual suspension bike. get a hardtail instead: a bike that doesnt have any suspension in the rear. the reason for this is that for such a low price point, your money will be spread too thin and the entire bike will suffer. hardtails require less material, less labour, and less parts so you get more for your money.

can your budget stretch a bit? that way you can get yourself a really good, high quality bike from a shop that will help you care for it for years to come.
