Can someone tell me a site similar to http://www.zillow.com/ that can tell you estimated costs of houses and/or apartments in Canada? Zillow is very good for the US but it doesn't show Canadian prices.

how about just checking out www.mls.ca? but you would have to know the area you are looking for.

That's a good site but it only shows houses that are for sale. I'm wondering if there's a site where you can just type in the address of a house and it'll show you an estimate price whether its on the market or not.

As far as I know, not in Canada yet
Your best bet is to find an agent, who can provide you MLS info on current, previously sold, similiar property prices

You can go to the city hall for the city the house is in and get the municipal tax assessment for that house.
Some municipalities have it online. For example, in Mississauga, you can look up the tax assessment for any house right on their website.

A couple of months ago realestateplus.ca had this information. However there access to mls has been cut off - looks like the real estate agents got to them

Ah Canada, so protective, just like with those American discount brokers they kicked out.
