I'm going to be going to Montreal with my family in a few weeks and debating whether or not to make a detour to Quebec City for a few days.
Is there a big difference architecturally between the two cities?
Any big tourist attraction in Quebec City? The only ones I'm aware of is the Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and those don't seem all that too appealing.
Thanks

The most European-like city in North America. It's not about the tourist sights, but rather for the ambiences.

Thanks for the response. Thing is, I'm from Belgium so a European-like city might not be worth the extra six hour drive. This is draw back in living in North America, you can drive for hours and still be in the same country, whereas in Europe, you can drive to Paris in an hour and a half from Brussels.

Quebec City is one of the most historic cities (if not the most) in Canada.
By the way, it is only a couple of hours from Montreal.
Yes, the old part is the most European of cities in Canada but it's appeal is the historical value, the Plains of Abraham etc, but you can look that up.
If you are Belgian and do not know Canada or it's history, Quebec City is a place you should see.

Huge difference in ambiance between QC and Montreal, and what you noted as tourist attractions aren't even in the city or really close. If you like culture, QC dispenses it in gobs.

My family enjoys monuments and historical structires, so the Citadel was a blast. Its just an amazing structure. Theres a sugar factory nearby also. We never went, but its suppose to be good. Food is hella expensive. Watch for that.
