Hourly Van/Truck Rental

I would like to buy a chest freezer at the Costco in Ajax (who don't have a delivery service)... the problem is I have no way to get it home.

Does anybody know any companies that provide an hourly van or truck rental, so that I can get the freezer home?

You could goto one of the car rental places and just negotiate a deal. Most places are open to it.

I found Rona rented their van out for one of the cheapest prices compared to anyone..

Yes - I've rented before.. $20 for first 60 or 90 minutes i don't remember.. plenty of time for something i needed to pick up something from another store and bring home.

I think they made me show a fuel receipt to prove i actually put some fuel in.. (told me ahead of time that they'd do that)

It's 90 minutes, and you only get it if you purchase something from the store. So buy a 2x4 and say it wont fit in ur car. Bring back the van and return the 2x4.

YMMV I guess, since I didn't purchase anything from the store.. they didn't even ask. I just got the keys and left

I rented a big van from Rona and Home Depot several times in the past. I paid 19.99 or something like that for 60 minutes, and you need to present also a receipt that you fuel after you use it. for each 15 minutes extra you pay extra $$, don't remember exactly how much.
