just a suggestion, but there's gotta be some hostels around TO, no?
Not an ideal workspot...but i'm not sure if you'll find anything that cheap (250/month) in downtown TO.

Open up Singtao newspaper and look for a basement room. You probably can find one =O

Do you have anything in mind?
Val probably don't mind as long as it's reasonable and kosher.

All he really needs is a place with a bed and washroom. Thats it. 1 small bedroom, where he can stay untill he finds a job.

haha thanks guys, yeah im going to look into that singtao newspaper? and see if i can find anything. I know its cheap but i have sold everything i have just to get to toronto lol. A basement room would be great, and like konni said all i need is a bed and a washroom lol. i suppose i can pay more if i have any left over. It MAY be as high as $500 and yes it IS american money unless i can get it changed to canadian, i dont really know if you guys prefer it that way?

It is very hard to get a room for that price in Montreal itself. So toronto being even bigger, I hardly doubt if you will succeed. I would recommend that you look for some stay outside the city, get a pass for 100$ more (i guess that is what the jealous TTC wants :D ). If you have a legal canadian PR or citizenship you should be able to find some job in some restaurant easily till you find some good job.
Also check if there is some housing classifieds for UofT. There might be some cheap deals there.
all the best in your search....

You might want to rent a place that has 3 bedrooms or something and find people to share it.

Try UofT or Ryerson...their residences are usually deserted in the summer and I am sure they would be happy to rent out a room.

lol yeah like i said if people preferred canadian currency than thats why i will get it converted. But yes i sold all my belongings, and i might look into a low income rent house or something, like in regent park or something. HAHA and when i said professional i meant that i am professional about everything i do, as in im mature about most situations lol.

Okay he does not know what regent park is. I'm letting him know what it is, and mainly he wants to stay around downtown area, yonge and finich is alright too.
He can't stay at my house cause my house is completly occupied with people and he needs a place downtown so he can find a job.
This is serious guys, quit making it sound like some f'ing joke. If you needed help, i would greatly help you. But now a buddy of mine is in need of help. He is not a trouble maker, hes a nice guy but his parents are kicking him out because they said "He needs a life lesson and life remake."

He doesn't need to live downtown, thats jsut adding to the price.
We have public transit and it'd probably be cheaper to use that to get around than to pay up the wahzoo for a downtown place.
So are you legally in Canada? You sound like you sold everything and just up and moved to escape something.
