Luggage storage - Toronto?

I have a friend coming to TO at the end of the month. On the day she goes home she will need somewhere to store her bags in Toronto for the day. I understand that the storage lockers at Union Station are still closed. Anyone know of other ideas in the downtown area? (closer to Union the better)

They don't offer luggage storage for non guests.. just checked.

I read that there is a "luggage check" at union station for Via but I don't know if the deal on that. If non-via ticket holders can use it.

The hotel Intercontinental might oblige your friend. I would call ahead though as it is a bit of a stroll over there along Front street. Next closest to Union that I can think of is One King West but I don't know if they'd do that kind of service.
