Hi!
I have family coming to visit, but they don't speak any English. Is it possible for me to meet them at the gate to help them translate? I'm thinking post 9-11 that they probably don't allow it. Any help would be great.

you might want to call the airport All they really gotta do is get through customs.

Even before 9/11, you couldn't get into the sterile area at Canadian airports without a valid boarding pass for travel that day. There is a way to enter the domestic baggage claim area at T1, but that's as far as you can get.

Write down some common phases (with translations) that the customs may ask them, so they can show the customs.
Then the staff can just point to that question and your relatives will understand.
Of course include some answers as translated as well.
