and poor baby...what drives a person to do that? I mean you spend 13 years in prison, yet it teaches you nothing.

Not really, that picture sum up exactly how most of us feel about this case.
Unless you feel he deserve to be release again, after another 13 years of incarceration, for good behavior.

Sure it teaches you something, more tricks of the criminal trade and how to be a worse person than you already were. Rehabilitation is a nice-sounding principle of sentencing but in reality has little if any effect in custodial sentences.
