So I'm watching Season 1 of Battlestar Galactica because I have nothing else to watch. Pretty good thus far. 10x better than that Star Trek nonsense.

So I finish the first 4 discs and I'm pumped for the final disc. I pop in the last disc and there's only one fracking episode left!

Odama can't die :wtc:

Please don't spoil it for me as I'm starting to download season 2 right now.

They do it because Star Trek TNG made it the thing to do, to keep viewers on the edge at the end of the season. It was when Picard was made into a Borg.

BSG is highly overrated. There's some really good episodes, but there's more crappy episodes. Better to watch Season One and Two of Doctor Who :).

The number of discs is based on the number of episodes on the season and how much data the studio wanted to cram onto the DVD. That final disc also contains all of the special features other than commentary tracks.

As for the Star Trek comment, a lot of the behind the camera talent on BSG also worked on ST: DS9 and there are a lot of thematic similarities between the two shows. Basically, BSG wouldn't exist without Star Trek's strong influence.

BSG was prett good for the first season and much of the 2nd, but it turned from a sci-fi show into a soap opera in space.

i have to admit with the above posters that season 1 & 2 were awesome for BSG. But season 3 was lacking up until the last 3 eps on season 3. Now i can't wait for the next (and i think i heard final) season ! ! !

Yes, season 3 was so memorable I have no idea where they left off on the last episode, just don't remember. Seasons 1&2, including the cliff-hangers a-la-Picard, were great, season 3, not so great...
