Does anybody know how to perform dumbbell power cleans? I tried searching but all I could find was one short description and no videos.

you mean like a "clean and jerk"?
I imagine them to be the exact same except seated.
Seems kinda weird since the point of the motion is to get the power through your entire body.

Thats strange... because if you wanted to isolate your shoulders like that, why not just do seated dumbbell military presses?

if you don't know how to perform it then mostly like you shouldn't be doing it

I also don't think they're seated :D

I'm building a workout regimen from this site

http://www.defrancostraining.com/articles/archive/articles_westside.htm

and one of the workouts was the power clean.

I guess I'll just switch to "Bent-over dumbbell rear delt flyes". I'm just trying to choose exercises that I can do at home (i.e. no machines).

i got no idea why you would be doing power cleans seated down.

also the idea of using dumbbells doesn't really appeal to me. most people use barbell. i'm picturing this is something like a dual dumbbell curl, but from the ground and making sure u use momentum from arms to get the dumbbells up. again this doesn't really make much sense. just use barbell and u'll find lots about power cleans

power cleans is a relatively complex motion and is hard to learn other than watching it get done and having someone tell you what ur doing wrong. awesome exercise for explosive power though.

alright cool, so I guess I'm not going to do power cleans.

about supplements, I just use protein powder. I think I'm using iso pro right now, their chocolate taste good.
