I went to the site http://www.freedieting.com/tools/cal...alculator.htm# and entered my info

5'11, 180lbs 23yrs old it says

Maintenance: 2684 Calories/day
Fat Loss: 2147 Calories/day
Extreme Fat Loss: 1610 Calories/day

does it mean if i intake 1500 calories and no workout, it would be the same as consuming 2000 calories and doing 500 worth of cardio?

I entered my info in www.sparkspeople.com and it recommands
Your Daily Intake Goal:
Calories 1500 - 1850 Carb 197 - 284 Fat 39 - 68 Protein 60 - 153

does this all sound right?


yesterday i tracked all the stuff i ate
2L water
Breakfast
Banana
Milk 2% 1.5 cup

Snack
Pop Tarts, Frosted strawberry, 1 pastry

Lunch
Caesar side salad
Roast chicken sandwich with mustard on whole wheat bread

Snack
Watermelon 1cup

Dinner
White rice + veggies+eggs(chinese dish, wasnt sure what the nutrition#'s were)

Snack
Yoplait Yop bottle yogurt, 200 serving

My total for the day was
Calories 1,531 Carb 229 Fat 43 Protein 65

is this good? or do i need more carb/protein or something else?/

if u want to gain, more proteins is the key. 65 a day is not enough, at least i dont think so. if u want to lose, try working out more.

i think the op is trying to LOSE weight??? just eat sensibly and workout daily...

Totally depends on his bodyfat/build. You can be in great shape at 5'11", 180 lbs., or in poor shape. Weight and height doesn't tell the whole story.

Loosing the same amount of fat via only working out is better than loosing fat via only diet...use both for best results!
