Want to take the kids to Port Perry for a day. Don't like the 401 route. I believe one can get there from Bloomington drive (?) in Newmarket or via the 48. Which one is more scenic and has washroom stops along the way?
Then please tell me how to get there? And what is a nice cheapish lunch place next to the water?

the trip from Scarborough isnt that long (45 - 60 mins) you shouldn't need to stop
