Lookin to buy a 01 1.7EL with 220kKM! need advice!

I have a friend who can sell me his 1.7EL for cheap, but it has about 220,000KMz on it....price wise, it's looks ok and actually cheap enough to make me consider this car, but will the high km have a big effect down the road? I was looking at the 1.6EL, for the price, i can probably get a good 1.6el premium, or this 1.7el non-premium version.....which one should i consider?

personally, i wouldn't buy a car with that much on it, unless you are planning to keep it for a short short time, you did say he's selling it to you for very cheap, so that's a plus

we used to have a 1.6el premium, and i loved it, to bad it was stolen, i have driven the 1.7 also, its more roomier, but the 1.6 was more fun to drive personally

also, premium models have leather, sunroof and abs. your friend's 1.7 might still have abs if its the touring i believe, i know for sure the base ones don't have abs, but then again its up to you if you think abs is important to you
