Their site states that:
Carry-on baggage is restricted to one standard article with maximum dimensions of 23 x 40 x 51cm (9 x 16 x 20in) weighing no more than 5KGs.

Does this include items such as laptop bags, smaller backpacks, etc., or are you allowed one of the aforementioned items plus a carry on bag?

We flew sunwing in Feb./07, I recall, one carry on being overweight, so we had to send it as baggage, (we had 2, but there was 2 of us) plus a large purse. I do believe your allowed one carry on and your laptop, though. Just remember to pack your carry on's light.
Hope this helps.

The seats are small also.

Flew to Mexico with them in 2006, all in all was a great flight.

I had a North Face daypack with me and I didn't have a problem. And yeah, small seats, but unless you're a big person you'll be fine.

We flew Toronto to Orlando both ways with Sunwing. Great service and yes, it was a good price. They served warm sandwiches on both flights which was great, considering it was only a short 3-4 hour flight. Hard to find airlines that serve any type of warm food these days!
