We'll miss you.
He may have not had a great season, but he certainly helped us in the past, and in some games this season.
Peterson Agrees To Deal With Hornets
July 13, 2007 - 4:26 pm
Globe And Mail -
Morris Peterson and the New Orleans Hornets agreed to terms on a 4-year contract, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Friday.
The person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the contract has not been announced, said Peterson would sign the deal following a vacation.
Peterson visited Salt Lake City earlier this week to meet with Utah Jazz officials. He also said Detroit, New Jersey, Cleveland, New Orleans, Miami and Toronto had expressed an interest in him. [READ]

A class act all the way. I hope he does well with his new team..hopefully not at the expense of the Raptors.

Raps play Hornets at most twice a year unless they meet in the NBA Finals so no real worry there...

every game he either made a circus shot or drew an offensive foul on the other team, and he was a great defender.

No. How lame?
When you look at the number of threads started here because someone would like to describe their toe jam, ask where their keys are, or feel a desperate need to post some other trivial meaningless part of their life, Mo Pete leaving the Raps looks like huge news to me.
I won't miss his occasional inconsistent game, but I will miss the class and effort with which he conducted himself as a Rap. Not to mention the occasional ridiculous circus shot.

IMO, Mo is a decent defender. I wouldn't say he is a great defender.
But he is a class act. Never pouted or whined about his role. Went about his business, was ready to play whenever his number was called. Inconsistent offensively but great circus shots.
Best of luck to Mo wherever he goes. I know he will do alright (plus the salary ain't bad eh?).

He was always a consistently inconsistent player and they are a dime a dozen in the NBA for that price tag.

you're right, but considering he had the role of defending the league's best almost every game, i'd say he did a pretty good job. maybe i wouldn't rank him as one of the league's top 3 or top 5 defenders, but considering that role i'd say he did a pretty good job

Why are you such a hater? Is it because no one has ever given you any recognition? Deprived as a child? I'm curious to know why it is that since you put up that clown avatar your attitude has been very negative towards others. The funny part is, half the time you're contradicting your own statements and inadvertently hating on yourself.. The Mo Pete thread is up so deal. If it will make you feel better you can start a thread about yourself. I'm sure you'll get alot of interesting reponses.

They should retire his jersey and hang it up in the rafters. The 2nd greatest Raptor of all time behind VC.

Man i loved Mo, always played with heart...in the playoffs he was covering Vince cuz it seemed like AP really had his problems against him. Those circus shots i gotta say my fave. was the Washington one and that one a couple yrs ago where his headband went over his eyes and he still got the layup in WOW
