Hi All,

In a bit of a dilemma looking for some sound advice.

Here are my options with pricing (all taxes etc. included)

Macbook - Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, 1GB, 80GB, DVD Superdrive, 13.3". 1yr wty etc. etc.

Dell XPS m1210 - (barely used) Core2Duo 2.16Ghz, 2GB, 100GB 7200RPM, 7400 Video, 9cell battery, 1 yr wty, 12.1:, Vista Home Premium etc. etc.

Thinkpad X61 - XP Pro or Vista Business?, Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, X3100, 2GB, 80GB 5400RPM, 12.1", 3yr wty etc. etc

Thinkpad T61 - Vista Business, Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, 2GB, 120GB 5400RPM, CDRW /DVDROm, X3100, 15.4", 3yr wty etc. etc.

Thinkpad T61 - Vista Ultimate, Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, 2GB, 160GB 5400RPM, DVDRW, Nvidia 140M, 14.1", 3 yr wty etc. etc

Please Help !!!! What would you do?

Umm... you should at least state what you want a laptop for?

They are all different sizes too so that is something you need to tell us before any opinion can be given.

I can tell you by experience that both the Macbook and the XPS are good but for different purposes. Macbook is great for school and requires little work to get it working flawless for school but it stinks for gaming period.

XPS is nice portable laptop but requires more work out of box (to get rid of all the junkware). Also OS X is way more stable than Vista. If the XPS you stated, includes a video card, then its a decent machine for gaming (at least for its size). You will be able to play most games at low/mid settings with the XPS.

Never owned a thinkpad but they are known to be reliable. The T61 are bigger so are you looking for 12.1" or size does not matter?
