Adelaide Club in the financial district. The perks are amazing and the facility is top quality.
It is in the First Canadian Place which is part of the underground PATH system so you can get off at Union or King and walk to it within minutes

that's a great gym, a little pricey, extreme fitness right down the street in the manulife centre is great as well.
Btw Krash, your name isn't "Roger" is it?

there isn't an extreme in the manulife centre. did you mean the Goodlife?
And, the Bally's on Bay/Bloor is changing to an extreme fitness. Does anyone know when this is going to happen?

Are there any gyms open 24/7 in and around downtown?

Extreme Fitness took over Oxygen Fitness on the Danforth, and what a disaster! They delete people's paid in full memberships, they treat their customers like dirt once you join, they are removing maybe a 1/3 of the equipment, which may never be replaced, as well as closing two exercise rooms. To make matters worse the number of new members has at least tripled. So you have 3 times more members competing for 1/3 less equipment and space. When you speak to them about it, they make you feel like you're the only one unhappy, and they have no time to talk to people like you. Check out this informative discussion group: www.extremefitnessforum.net
I figure they will make a disaster of all the new gyms they are taking over. Basically, they are all about sales, but have the worst customer service and treatment of any company I have ever dealt with. Go somewhere else!

I'd recommend Goodlife.
The main reason is the flexibility of being able to go to ANY Goodlife (except the one by the Rogers Stadium) with one single membership. I mainly go to one location however I have many options and do go to other ones once in a while. They also have the most locations out of all the fitness clubs in Toronto and they still plan on expanding. They recently bought out many Bally's and Sports Clubs of Canada.
I switched from a private, one location, 24hrs, top notch gym and I've been very happy with Goodlife.
I have a corporate plan therefore it is very cheap. It may be pretty pricey without the corp. plan.

Ryerson: A very good gym if you go at the right time...i.e not in rush hr time
Underground, a track above all the facilities, alot of equipment...

I live in Toronto but work in Vaughan . I train at a Gym/Studio call Flex Xtreme Fitness Studios on Keele Street in Maple .... This gym is great the staff and owners are very friendly if anyone on this forum is looking for a gym and you live in vaughan try them out.
