I'm paying $42.70 a month after taxes and all charges.

150 Weekday minutes
1000 Evening/Weekend minutes
Unlimited Fido to Fido Local AND Long-distance, including SMS (Since I use my cell as my main phone for my study terms at Waterloo)

I could probably get $8 or $10 bucks off of that if I renew my ISIC card.

Using Motorola V360.

On a Bell Corporate plan for a little while longer (but not much more)

Here is what I've got as of right now...

350 Anytime
Unlimited Evenings and Weekends @ 6PM
Unlimited Web Browser (no data cap)
Unlimited Text Messaging
Voicemail
Caller ID
Call Waiting/Call Forwarding/Three Way Calling/Etc
20 Free Phone Calls to any number I choose per month
SAF and 911 Included

Total After Taxes - $44.98/ Month
Using a POS LG 5400

However, I'm sick of hardly having any signal wherever I go, so I'm moving ro Rogers. I'll likely be on something similar to this...

PLAN (Current Offer From Rogers)
250 mins during the daytime mins.
Unlimited evenings/weekends starting at 6pm
CID, Voicemail, 125 Text
Rogers To Rogers
2MB Mobile Internet (Maybe)
SAF + 911
All for $42.69 taxes in
Plan on getting the Sony Ericsson W810i

Not *quite* as good as my bell plan, but GSM phone + signal just about everywhere to me makes it worth it.

some of the best plans can be found on CDMA networks, such as Telus and Bell but you have to go corporate, the downside: CDMA phones.

Yeah, I know T_T

I'm on the Best Buy Corporate Plan right now. Honestly, it's jam packed with everything I'll ever need. On the other hand though...I've *really* had it with not having signal ANYWHERE at my school.

Considering I spend a good 20+ hours a week on campus during the school year, I'll bite the bullet and take a little cut in minutes/features. It's not a big deal though, I didn't use my phone to its fullest extent anyway.

How exactly do you guys get on a corporate plan? Right now, I'm signing up with Fido where it will be something like:

- 150 Daytime minutes
- Unlimited evenings + wkends (starting at 7)
- Unlimited incoming
- Caller ID
- Name Displayed
- Voice Message (10 saved)
- 50 txt msgs

and with tax and all, it will probably come out to be around ~$47!! (tax and SAF included)

Mind you, I am a new customer (I am signing a 3yr contract with Fido) and never had a cell phone before, but I can still cancel my plan since my 15 days are not up. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I can do to improve the deal?

(Note - I got this at www.studentphones.com)

chek out these two links to get idea how to negoiate with them..
u can get all that for lik 37 bucks or less including tax... u r getting riped off big time. dont use the phone for over 30 mins till u get the right plan, and moreover, even if u r over 30 mins, go head and tell them to cancel, even if they say 400 dollars i quarantee you they wont cancel you, they will negoiate with u, .... if all fails and it comes down to the cancellation, ask them: "when i go to the other telephone company, will this number be ported out today" they will say no, use that opportunity to hang up, say:"ill call telus or wutever first"

dont mention rogers when you r negoiateing, they dont care, its the same company

Wow, I'm liking those Bell corporate plans, and bell's getting the phone I really really want. Now I have to find somebody to get the phone for me.

hmmmm, hopefully Casino Niagara gets a bell corporate plan, I'll just get my mom to sign up for me :)

I won't bother listing my rogers plan as it sucks, but I've seen some great ones from Bell Corporate for the Toronto Fire Dept. lately.....around 25$ total (including taxes, etc.). I just can't handle dealing with bell anymore.

Some good plans people are on here!

I've got:
200 minutes (billed by the second after 1 minute)
unlimited weekends (not evenings)
call display
voice mail

for $29.02 after tax/SAF/etc. on Rogers.

The way I see it, this plan >> plan I had before on Bell
and Rogers >> Bell (at least for cell phones)

Rogers (Retention plan)
250 Anytime Minutes;
Unlimited Incoming Calls (I had the option of this, or free Rogers to Rogers);
Unlimited Weekends and Evenings (starting at 6PM);
6 Months Unlimited Calling (I can activate that credit anytime);
Free Caller ID;
and I can go pick up any phone I want for free (Since I've never got their free phones ever for like 6+ years, the credit adds up).

All this for 20 bucks - and 26.95 after network fees (911, etc).

With the unlimited calling stuff.. I use around 10k minutes per month.

With my data plan and the few extras I have, my bill usually comes to around $125-145 a month.
