I don't remember what their deals were like last year or any year for that matter. Are there hefty savings on labour day?
I'm looking to buy a nice sized LCD tv and am thinking about picking one up from an RFD user (42" phillips for 1,200) but I always like having the retail support when buying something that big that could be a dud, so I may hold out until labour day (as that's the next big sale day) and hope noone else picks up the phillips.
Anyone know or have price comparisons?
Thanks!

I wouldn't expect any earth shattering deals - it's not really a big holiday for FS/BBY - no better than Canada Day. The only price drop would be due to natural decreases.
You'll get better deals from grand openings, and boxing day - both of which you will need to line up for to get the really good deals

Want the best support? Go to Costco and buy it. Best return policy period.
Don't expect FS to have any great deals in any of their sales... unless its boxing week/new years or grand opening. Even if FS has a great deal, you can get a lower price at visions... i think visions provides better service than FS (60 days price protection, altho no 10%).

I don't find much of a difference between the many (endless?) FutureShop sales events. I definitely don't think waiting until September is going to net you big savings. I wouldn't be surprised if FS holds an August long weekend sale. I say revisit this idea then.
