View Full Version : When do leafs tickets go on sale?

I'm going to line up and try to buy them at face value, before all the scalpers buy them.

The majority of them will go to corporate sponsors and people who really aren't fans. If anyone from RFD wants to join in, maybe we can get a group buy going or something.

i'd just like to wish you "good luck". all of the tickets that arent alrdy owned by seasons ticket holders will then be ordered online or ahead of public sale by ppl with special deals with other companies, etc., and then after that, if there are still tickets, ull probably have to line up a few hours early. it will be worse than raptors playoff tickets.

however, ive heard of ppl getting random nose bleed seats for like $50 during the season, if thats what ur looking for.

Jul 11th, 2007, 08:56 PM
nose bleeds are $24.75 face value.

I will line up midnight before they go on sale, it's the only way an honest guy like me can get tickets at face value price.

I thikn it's sometime in august that they do. I'd love any chance to watch my favourite team play live for once in my life.

They sell them on gameday too, at 10:30am.. don't know the reliability of this info except that it was posted by leaf fans on the mapleleaf forum. ^^ (Rumoured Sept 15th that they go on sale)

It says the most expensive upper bowls are about $82...

Also,if you're willing to miss the first period, you can get good seats cause scalpers will get desperate. :cheesygri

(um...how old are you btw?)

20 years old, shocking I know, what's more is I'm an undergrad commerce & finance student.

Sorry, but unlike others I do find it annoying that most "fans" at the game would prefer their hot sushi or veal off the grill than to watch and support the team that the city around them bleeds blue and white for day in and day out. (empty platinum seats)

Secondly, hell yes, I'd pay to watch the Leafs, but I want to get a good value as well.

I actually heard from a person who goes to a lot of games (non season ticket holder) that ticketmaster releases a small block of tickets at 9:30 or was it 10:30 am the day before any leafs home game.

Lastly, I find it annoying that fans from "Montreal" and "ottawa" can get tickets to our games yet honest, local Toronto fans have been shunned by the greedy sobs at MLSE. I wish they'd go for my fans only night where tickets are on sale 2 or 3 hours prior to the game with scalped tickets cancelled.

However, back on topic, I will do my best to line up and get tickets to at least one game (in at least 6 years) to see them play, hopefully it's a Saturday night game.

I went online (Ticketmaster) right when they went on sale to the general public last time ... I scored 3 tickets to the Leafs/Bruins game on Jan 1. I also used to get tickets from a season ticket holder ... unfortunately, I have lost that contact and have to resort to pressing my luck on Ticketmaster.

If I remember correctly, there was something on the Ticketmaster website saying that tickets were being sold ONLY ONLINE ... i.e. no lineups at the outlets. So your best bet is to go online right when it goes on sale. Another option is to sign up for the insider newsletter for the pre-sale.

Wow. People actually buy tickets half a year in advance for something that happens 30 times a year?

No wonder Leaf made so much money.

Wow. People actually buy tickets half a year in advance for something that happens 30 times a year?

No wonder Leaf made so much money.

It's because they're so popular that the demand is high, the Leafs could probably sell out rogers centre every game if they wanted to, although ticket prices in that case would be a hell of a lot more reasonable.

The scalpers make a killing because of such limited demand, I always feel like telling a scalped to f*** off when he holds out two tickets that say $60 each and he says "gimme $500 and we're okay" but he's in his right to do so as demand is high, I wish police would enforce scalping as an offense.

Anyways, i've signed up for the newsletter so hopefully I'll get advanced notice and maybe either make a lineup or even wake up early to ticketmaster, although scalpers have bots on that to, so what's the point I ask sometimes...

Found this quite interesting

We know how hard it is to get your hands on tickets to a Maple Leafs game, but don't give up. There are seats to be had!

Single game tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs are handled and distributed by Ticketmaster Canada and can be purchased online or by calling 416-872-5000.

A number of tickets are held until each gameday and released through the day. So if you're looking for tickets to a particular game and ticketmaster tells you that none are available, try back and see if any have been released.

The same goes for the ticket office at Air Canada Centre. Before each home game a limited number of tickets may be released. If you're there, they can be yours and for the same price that appears on the ticket!

If you already have a set of stubs and are trying to figure out where they are you can go to use the below seat finder feature, which gives you a good indication of the sight lines.

Thanks for being a fan!

D: ah well, we'll see I guess, there are no actual box office sales prior but I'll still try and listen to the news to see if I can land anything. Lawnchair, sudoku puzzle book, or PSP in hand I'll try my best to get some.

lol i was thinking about it, why dont they play at the Rogers Dome... They would get 50 000 EASILY every night. But maybe not if the rink would be TOO small to see from the 500 section.

and why wouldnt they... there are millions of fan in this city that would love to watch a leafs game on a regular basis.... its nearly impossible for us to get tickets straight from ticketmaster or the leafs. We have to buy from scalpers and season ticket holders.... if there were 50 000 seats available, it would make it a bit easier for us to get tickets.

I highly doubt there is millions of fans willing wanting to go to a game.I have alot of family in toronto and none of them want go.There are other people like that as well.Just to had having 20,000 empty seats would like really bad. That is also part of the reason the toronto fc has a 20,000 stadoum. The saying goes its better to have people turned away then to have empty seats. Also take ottawa/montreal/edmonton/vancouver/calagry all it is almost impossible to get tickets to.This is not just a toronto issue.

actually places Like Buffalo, New York, Montreal and Ottawa charge more for the Maple Leafs because they're "premium games"

I hate it, real leaf fans should be able to get tickets to watch their team, then I bet the players will get to hear what real fans sound like. Ah well, we'll see.

If you know when they go on sale, it is not hard to get tickets. Sign up for leafs insider on the team website. They will email you a week in advance with the official on sale day and time (they may even have a presale).

If it's september 15th at 10:00AM, then be online at that exact time. Pick games against some of the more "up and coming teams" and you'll have no problems getting seats in the upper bowl. For the last two seasons I've done this, and purchased tickets from ticketmaster for three games per year, and I could have bought more, but didn't have enough money for a fourth!

Be careful about the $25 seats. They are obstructed view. Meaning, you can't see one of the nets. I made that mistake once, and it was a bad one...The game last year against calgary when sundin got a hattrick, including his 500th goal in overtime on the net that I couldn't see! It looked great on the jumbotron.

The next price level is standing room. Not too bad, if you can stand for a whole game. You can lean on stuff too. Realistically though, the $40 something seats are the most economical and they're all pretty decent. Just be online when you're supposed to be, and don't spend too much time looking for tickets against ottawa or montreal. Last year I saw Calgary, Pittsburgh, and Washington. Not bad for some guy who bought 3 pairs of tickets online for face value.

Now stop complaining that it's impossible to get tickets. It is possible for everyone, you just can't be sitting around your house on a Saturday in January and say "Hey, I want to go see the game tonight against the Senators".

the only hockey game i've been to is a game down at HSBC with the sabres and leafs.. casino niagara was holding a special and tickets were only $60ish each and they were in the first level, 14th row.

i doubt it'd be that easy to get tickets for leafs / sabres down at HSBC anymore, actually ANY sabres game in general.. considering what the sabres have done in the past 2 years.. i suspect that there would be a lot more interest in the games and not as many tickets available, at least not for that price..

After making a major blunder last year of not taking the first set of Canadiens tickets offered and ultimately not getting any tickets for any game, I managed to get pairs for three games versus Montreal, Washington and Jersey. Purples. All are non-Saturdays. I had hoped to get at least one Saturday night but ah well. I'll try again on Saturday and random times during the season on gameday.

If anyone has a pair for a Saturday night game and has a burning desire to see Washington or Jersey, let me know and we could do a swap. No standing room, no obstructed. If the pair is better than my purples I'll pay the difference.

No prob, just might as well share the info here instead of all the scalpers getting their hands on tickets.

I managed to get 2 standing room tickets to the Blackhawks game in Oct, and 2 purple tickets to the Lightning on Jan 1.

Does anyone know how the standing room are? I read somewhere that there are stools and such to "sit" while there, but I'm not sure...

There aren't any stools in the standing room area. The only stools I've seen at the ACC are the ones in the bar(s) on either end of the rink and I'm pretty sure they're sold as reserved seats and are priced higher than purples.

I've been to a few games in standing room and it's pretty much a laneway about 2 people wide behind the last row of seats. There's a concrete wall at the back or a railing in front that you can lean on. Depending on what section you're in, the only thing that may be obstructed is the scoreboard, but the view of the game is fine from most places - better than the seats at the rink ends where you can't see one of the zones!

Last time I went, the "seat" numbers were mostly non-existent, plus the ushers aren't that bothered with people up there (as long as there aren't too many) so you can chance moving closer to centre ice if you want.

There's like a $20 difference between the last row of purples and the standing room..and all it means is a seat. And in standing room, you'll be standing rite behind the last row of purples. That said, it'll be fine. They all have good views unless you got obstructed view tickets.

I've sat in 10X for Raptors games,.. and the obstructions are not nearly as bad as people may think. There was only a small portion of the court I could barely see,.. but could see it fine if I just leaned to the side. 9X should be comparable, but 13X (which is a few rows higher) may offer less of a view.

Sure it's possible, if you want to give the scalper some money on top of your tickets or there's a large price difference between the tickets. Scalpers make a ton of money off Leaf tickets. If they can't make money off you, they'll make money off someone else.

Here's the story guys,

My brother is visiting me from the states in December/January.

As a suprise I tried to get us leaf tickets so it would be like old times again.
I ended up getting tickets for Dec 29th against the New York Rangers because they should be quite a formidable team this year.

Unfortunately, this turns out to be my brothers wife's birthday... and I need to cancel these tickets now, but obviously that's not possible.

I wish these were more attractive, but they are STANDING ROOM tickets.

Section Row Type Ticket Price Convenience Charge Description
320S 19 BLAKE5 CA $31.00 CA $7.50
320S 19 BLAKE5 CA $31.00 CA $7.50

Not that it matters, but we have seats 1-2.... in the standing room.. this is not obstructed view.

If anyone is willing to purchase these tickets I'd be happy to let them go at cost. I won't charge you the 4.50 transaction fee.

On the other hand, I would love to trade these tickets for standing room tickets for another game if anyone else is interested. Any game during the last week or first week of january is okay, can be weekday or weekend.
Let me know guys. I'd really like your help, because I barely see my brother and would hope to get a game in with him.

PS. I am not free on saturday to buy more tickets on tickemaster... so I'm trying to be proactive here.

Thanks!

I got 4 noose bleeds for Tampa on jan 1st but that was on the pre sale on thursday. Also I nailed 4 tickets to the Leafs and Habs in Montreal on December 15th that one will be sweet.

Anyone actually tried buying scalper tickets after the first period is over? I'm wondering how much of a markup do they still charge, and whether it's possible to get 2 seats together.

Does anybody know why the game against Motreal on November 3rd in Mtrl is not up on the ticketmaster site? And when do those tickets go on sale?

I had all my tickets sold within a couple days, and that's without even offering them to anybody. Everybody came to me, and people are still coming to me, even though I have none left.

So yes, they will still sell just as fast.

+1

me and several friends are looking for tickets and some sources that we know have sold most of them except the lower bowl prime seats which cost an arm and a leg.

Even in the Harold Ballard days back in the 80s when the leafs are a really bad team, they still sell out when we know they will lose.

They probably won't send it out until Wednesday night or even Thursday morning just to try to keep it from being posted/spread around as much as possible.

Code is only needed for pre-sale on Thursday - no code needed for tickets sale on Sat.

I wanted to see the Chicago game in November, but got shut out  . For some reason I got the security code wrong twice, but then it was too late.

I wonder how many tickets are available on Saturday, I am not holding my breath…

If find with all popular events/shows, in most cases if you dont get tickets on your first try then its pretty over.

But for Leafs public sale, its all scraps anyways, obstructed or standing room.

I managed to get two for one of the atlanta games...crappy seats but not standing or obstructed...I found last years leafs insider pre-sale a lot better, it was for the full season and me and friend managed to snag tickets for like 6games. I would have thought this year would be easier as the team is most likely going to be in last place.

I got tickets for Dec.8 against the Islanders. They are actually better seats than the presale tix I snagged last year. I agree though it was better when they released the whole season at once - I snagged 4 pairs last yr, including Ottawa.

Scored two games in the pre-sale (one pair purples, one pair standing room)
and one pair in the general public sale (standing room).

The standing room/obstructed view "seats" are basically right above the last row of purple, I believe the scoreboard is obstructed (but with the new scoreboard, who knows) and you do have to stand.

Just snagged 3 pairs of standing room tickets. Had standing room tickets before, pretty good just can't see top of scoreboard
